SGF Boss Mustapha loses his ward to PDP in Adamawa state

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has
emerged victorious in governorship and
state assembly elections held in the ward of
the Secretary-General of the Federation,
Boss Mustapha in the Adamawa state capital,
Yola.
According to reports from Independent
newspaper and online publisher Sahara
Reporters, the opposition party defeated
the ruling All Progressives Congress
(APC) candidates in several the elections
in the ward.

The results announced were:
PU Unit 15 Gwadabawa Ward, Yola North LG
Governorship
PDP 121

ADC 51
House of Assembly

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported earlier that
Adamawa state governor Muhammadu
Bindow of Adamawa lost the state
government house polling units 012 and
09 to opposition PDP candidate, Alhaji
Umaru Fintiri.
Announcing the result of polling unit 09
on Saturday, March 9 in Yola, Sumayya
Aliyu, Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC)'s presiding officer
said Fintiri scored 167 votes against
Bindow’s 108 votes.

Also, Ms Yemi Adetiba presiding officer
at polling unit 012, announced that
Fintiri garnered 136 votes against
Bindow’s 81.
Also, Legit.ng reported that there was
wild jubilation as former vice president
and presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku
Abubakar, delivered his polling unit,
Ajiya 02, in Gwadabawa Ward, Yola
North local government of Adamawa.

The result of the governorship election
announced by the returning officer,
Dorathy Inaku indicated that PDP scored
161 votes, while APC got 99 votes.
